HOS Puts Up Display at Manoa Orchid Show

The Honolulu Orchid Society made a large display at the Manoa Orchid Show held on Saturday and Sunday, May 4-5, 2013 at the Noelani Elementary School.  The display which was constructed on Friday night beginning at 6:30 PM was the only display in the Show.  The display featured plants from HOS members and vendors at the Show.  The work crew which completed the display at around 9:30 PM were fed a delicious late dinner by Chairman Williette Wong.  Some photos taken of the display during construction are shown below.  Click on the photos for a larger image.

Sherry and Calvin Abe, Ben Sills and Rob Andrade (partially hidden) put finishing touches to the display. The tall backdrop in the center of the display are branches of a rubber tree cut from Ben Sills’ yard.
