“Growing Bulbophyllums” Will Be Discussed at May 11 Meeting

Melvin Waki and Calvin Abe will be the featured speakers at the Wednesday (May 11) General Membership Meeting of the Honolulu Orchid Society.  They will be sharing their methodology for growing Bulbophyllums.  Both Melvin and Calvin acquired many of their Bulbophyllums from the late Wilbur Chang and have been growing their plants in their backyards for many years.  Calvin will display several of his specimen plants that he has made with the Bulbophyllums.  The meeting will start at 7:00 PM in the Lanakila Elementary School Cafeteria.  Guests are more than welcome to attend.  There is ample free parking in front of the cafeteria.  Refreshments will be served.
