Glen Barfield to speak on Warm-growing Oncidiinae, October 13
Title: Warm-growing Oncidiinae and How to Choose Them
Time: 7:00 p.m. Hawaii time
Glen Barfield’s passion is breeding primarily Oncidiinae intergenerics and Miltoniopsis with an occasional Zygopetalum or Masdevallia. According to Glen, “Warm growing Oncidiinae intergenerics are easy to spot. They will have warm growing Miltonias, and/or Brassias or Aspasias in their background. Of course the Oncidiums themselves come from all elevations and choosing those is a little more tricky and may require some research.”
Glen owns a nursery in Glenwood, Mountain View on Hawaii island and is an American Orchid Society judge.
