I got home from the December 11th HOS meeting and smelled a delightful fragrance so I went to find out what bloomed. This is hanging from the clothesline which gets morning sun. I hope I get this right, this has B. nodosa and C. Purpurata in its ancestry. It’s the first spike to bloom this year. The colors fade to nearly white as the flower ages, and the scent remains for a long time even on dying flowers.
