    This species is found in Queensland Australia, Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. It is found in coastal forests, mangrove swamps, savannah and rain forests below 1200 meters. It is tolerant of a wide range of temperature conditions. It is one of the smaller species from the section Spatulata. This cultivar is non-cleistogamous, meaning it does not self-pollinate on its own.

    Congratulations on your award Dale. For everyone’s information, Dale’s plant was awarded an Award of Merit (A.M.) by the Honolulu Orchid Society judges at a judging session held at the Lanakila Senior Center on January 11, 2023.
