In Bloom – Dendrobium wasselii

Den wasselii is a very easy growing species.  The tiny white flowers which look like mosquitoes will last for two weeks or longer.  I grow my wasselii’s in a shady area with New Zealand Sphagnum Moss or orchid bark as the media.  This plant would probably be very happy growing and hanging in a basket.  With patience, you can grow the plant into a spectacular specimen plant with many spikes of flowers.   (Article and photo by Mel Waki)
