This cross of C. Mini Apricot x Rlc. Rubescence was made by Fred Clarke. Rlc. Rubescence is Rlc. Oconee x C. Mini Apricot, making this a back cross to one of its parents. Rlc. Exotic Regal Ruby is a compact growing plant due to C. coccinea in its background.

This is a correction to the original post. Rlc. Rubescence is a hybrid of Rlc. Oconee x C. Seagull’s Apricot. C. Seagull’s Apricot is a parent of C. Mini Apricot (C. Seagull’s Apricot x C. coccinea). Rlc. Exotic Regal Ruby is 50% C. coccinea.
