Good choice and very nice. I also got a Cattleya trianae from H&R. It’s labeled as C. trianae v. tipo. The color looks like yours. It has a slight fragrance.
Great job of growing. Nice to get double spikes. Thanks for posting.
Wow. That’s beautiful. Is this one of the seedlings you purchased as part of the group buy from Fred Clarke of Sunset Valley Orchids? You picked a good one.
This post is buried way in the back of the Forum. Thought I’d bring it up front and show what you can do with a video. Click on the link above, turn on your speaker and enjoy the 58 second narrated video.
That’s a nice pink Dendrobium. You picked a good one. Congratulations on your post. You quadrupled your your chances for winning a blooming orchid plant.
Congratulations on your award Dale. For everyone’s information, Dale’s plant was awarded an Award of Merit (A.M.) by the Honolulu Orchid Society judges at a judging session held at the Lanakila Senior Center on January 11, 2023.
Good growing. This is very nice. Can this Zygonisia grow under warm conditions or does it prefer intermediate to cool conditions like one of its Zygopetalum parent?
Very nice. What is your media and do you follow the Fred Clarke rule about keeping the plant dry (no watering) during the dormant period?
Nice job of blooming. Did you grow this plant indoors?
Photo of the entire plant which is in a 6-inch square wooden basket and hung under 50% shade cloth. The plant is watered almost daily.

Good advice about opening the bag to let moisture out. If you store the moist orchid mix over a long period of time, mold will grow in the mix and make the mix unsuitable for potting orchids. Best to use the mix while it’s still fresh.
The deadline for ordering the Society shirts is today, August 30, 2022. If you completely forgot, call Kathy Sakuda at (808) 258-6511.
Wish mine bloomed like yours.
